Mediterranean Monk Seal Watching Guidelines

The Mediterranean monk seal is endangered, despite a recent increase in populations. This summer, if you're travelling (particularly in Greece, Cyprus or Türkiye), you could come across one! Stay out of the caves (their last refuge) and take the right precautions not to disturb them when they are giving birth, as this could cause them to flee or even result in the mother abandoning her pup!
