The Monk Seal Alliance invites organizations to submit pre-applications for projects running from spring 2027 to 2030.
Pre-applications deadline: March 31, 2026
Indicative funding range: €20,000–€300,000
Geographic focus: Greece, Türkiye, Cyprus, Mauritania, Madeira, with secondary areas in the Adriatic & Levantine Basin
Priority areas include:
- Threat reduction & habitat protection
- Governance and enforcement
- Capacity building
- Advocacy and stakeholder engagement
- Action-oriented monitoring
Eligible applicants: NGOs, research institutions, public authorities and other relevant entities. Collaborative consortia are encouraged.
Over the past six years, the MSA has invested more than €5 million in monk seal conservation. We now look toward the next chapter.
