MSA Steering Committee meets in Geneva
News
The Monk Seal Alliance (MSA) held its Steering Committee meeting in Geneva on October 28, 2025, bringing together all partner foundations to review progress and set priorities for the years ahead.
Discussions focused on strengthening long-term conservation efforts for the Mediterranean monk seal and the ecosystems it depends on, through a science-based, collaborative approach that builds local and institutional capacity.
The Committee reviewed the progress of MSA-supported projects, representing over €2.2 million invested (2024–2027) across the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and confirmed the launch of preparations for the next Call for Projects in 2026.
This upcoming call will focus on initiatives that reinforce governance, regional cooperation, and the long-term sustainability of conservation actions.
